Lender & APR Disclosure
Read this before you apply. It states who lends, what it costs, and what protections may and may not apply.
Not a lender
TribalLoans500 (triballoans500.com) is a loan-matching service and is not a lender. We do not make loans or credit decisions. We connect consumers with independent tribal lending entities owned by federally recognized Native American tribes. Each lender is a separate company with its own terms.
APR disclosure
Lenders in our network offer installment loans of $300 to $1,500 with annual percentage rates from 250% to 750% and repayment terms of 3 to 12 months. There are no origination or application fees. Late and returned-payment fees may apply as stated in your loan agreement.
Representative example
A $500 loan repaid over 6 months at 390% APR has 6 monthly payments of approximately $199.34 and a total repayment of approximately $1,196.04, of which the finance charge is the difference between that total and $500. Your actual terms will be disclosed by the lender in a Truth in Lending Act disclosure before you sign.
Approval is not guaranteed
Not all applicants will be matched or approved. Lenders evaluate identity, income, banking history and other factors. Requested amounts may be reduced.
Tribal sovereignty and state law
Lenders in our network operate under the laws of their sovereign tribal nations and applicable federal law. State lending laws, including rate caps and licensing requirements, may not apply to your loan. Some states dispute this position. Disputes are generally resolved under tribal law and may be subject to binding arbitration. Loans may not be available in every state; the lender determines availability.
Military Lending Act
Active-duty members of the Armed Forces and their dependents are "covered borrowers" and may not be charged a Military APR above 36%. Lenders in our network therefore do not lend to covered borrowers.
Credit reporting and collections
Some lenders report payment history to consumer reporting agencies, which may affect your credit. Late or missed payments may incur fees, be reported, and result in collection activity in accordance with your agreement and applicable law. Lenders in our network do not engage in criminal prosecution for non-payment.
Short-term use
These loans are intended for short-term financial needs, not as a long-term solution. Consumers with ongoing credit difficulties should seek credit counseling. Consider lower-cost alternatives such as credit-union loans, employer advances and payment plans before borrowing.
State-specific disclosures
Not available in all states. Each lender in our network determines which states it serves. Availability in states with strict small-loan laws — including New York, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Vermont, Arkansas, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Maryland, Georgia, New Jersey, North Carolina and the District of Columbia — is at each lender's discretion and some lenders decline residents of these states automatically. If no lender serves your state you will be told immediately and no inquiry is made.
California. TribalLoans500 is not a licensed lender or broker under the California Financing Law. Loans to California residents are made by tribal lenders under tribal law. California residents have rights under the CCPA described in our Privacy Policy.
Texas. TribalLoans500 is not a Credit Access Business and does not arrange loans under Chapter 393 of the Texas Finance Code.
New York and Pennsylvania. These states assert that their usury and licensing laws apply to loans made to their residents regardless of the lender's location. Some lenders in our network decline residents of these states; availability is determined by the lender at application and you will be told immediately if no lender is available.
Georgia, New Jersey, North Carolina. Payday lending is prohibited under state law. Tribal lenders that serve these states do so under tribal law; state consumer-protection remedies may not be available. Residents should review their loan agreement's governing-law and dispute-resolution clauses before signing.
All states. This site does not constitute an offer or solicitation to lend in any state where such an offer would be unlawful.
